BRINGING OUR VISION TO LIFE

OUR STORY

HOW IT STARTED

It all began when we built our four children a treehouse, complete with bunk beds, a trap door, a swing, and a zipline. Even then, we joked about renting it out when our kids outgrew it. It wasn’t until we stayed in an impressive treehouse rental ourselves that we turned those thoughts into real ambitions. What started as a plan to build a few treehouses to rent near our own property turned into a mission to build the world’s largest treehouse resort in the Smoky Mountains. We’ve created rentals that are great for both family vacations and romantic getaways. Our goal is for Sanctuary Treehouse Resort to be a place where adults are taken back to their childhood treehouse days and where families can play and stay together while still respecting the beauty of the area. We are committed to protecting the wildlife and the nature around us, which is why our construction plan preserves as many trees as possible while we build within the beauty of the natural landscape. Everything from our initial vision to our goals for this resort truly make it a one-of-a-kind lodging experience.

Brian and Amanda Jensen are Sevier County natives and the founders and developers of Sanctuary Treehouse Resort. The couple also owns the Gatlinburg SkyCenter at the top of the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park. One of the most important things to the Jensens is family, which is why they’re creating a place where families will make countless memories. Their four children have been an integral part of developing the resort as well, Their children have been helping with ideas and drawings, naming the treehouses, creating art for the theming and decor, building, landscaping and many other areas of set up and design of this unique concept. The Jensen’s are excited to work alongside their children to show them how to build a business and demonstrating the magic of bringing your dreams to a reality. The couple hopes each family enjoys vacationing at Sanctuary Treehouse Resort as much as their family has enjoyed creating it. The Jensens also want it to be a place where not just families, but couples as well can escape and celebrate their love for each other. Whether you’re planning a family trip or a getaway with your special someon, an unforgettable experience awaits at Sanctuary Treehouse Resort.
